Addison, Colin My auntie Dell's sister was Colin's mum. She and uncle Geoff came to stay on Saturday morning she said we are taking you to a football match it was Arsenal at Highbury. So off we went, myself and my brother. I can remember standing on Highbury steps and out came Colin Addison we where introduced and he asked who do support we both said Arsenal and from the age of 12 we have both followed Arsenal and Colin's career.

Addison, Colin Colin's dad played for Clevedon Town just after the war along with my dad Ernie Mellett. Colin would go with them to away matches , my dad was tee total and would not go into pubs , and children were not allowed in pubs back then , so he would sit outside with Colin. Many years later when Colin was manager at Forest Green Rovers , I asked dad if he would like to go to football. Yes ok he said (I did not tell him where we were going ) he did not know Colin was manager there , I had spoken to Colin on the phone previously and we arranged this between us. At the end of the game, my dad met Colin for the first time in over 44 years. Made his day. Thanks Colin.

Addison, Colin Drove the Newport County team coach in the 80s. Many wonderful memories with Colin and the team inc. John Aldridge, Tommy Tynan. Colin would tell me to get back to Newport after an away game ASAP so the lads could have a relaxing evening at home. Great times.
