Biography: Ahmed came through the youth ranks at Huddersfield Town and turned professional at the beginning of the 2003-04 season. When he made his debut during that season, Ahmed became the first Town player of Pakistani heritage to play a professional match for the club, coming on as a substitute against Rochdale in a 1-1 draw at Spotland. He never really cemented a place in the first team, although he did play a number of games during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 seasons. After his release at the end of 2006-07, Ahmed went on to play for Tranmere Rovers, Ferencvaros (Turkey), Bradford Park Avenue, Nelson and Droylsden before hanging up his boots. Burnley born Ahmed has also won 27 caps for the Pakistan national team and is now the operating director of the family bedroom furniture company, Sweet Dreams in Burnley. He also runs his own company, Rubix Sports Management.
