Biography: Pompey fans never saw the best of Akinde during a short spell at the club in 2013 but a subsequent drop down to non-league football seemed to re-ignite his career. Goals for Alfreton Town and even more at Barnet saw him become the north London side’s highest ever League scorer. The London born striker signed a three year deal with Lincoln City in July 2018 where he was top scorer in his first season before moving on to Gillingham in January 2020.
