Biography: Brazilian who won the Portuguese title with Benfica while registered as a Chelsea player. This was one of two loan spells, the other with PSV Eindhoven, that the young defender spent away from the club before signing permanently for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk in April 2008. An article in the Daily Mail in 2008 quoted that he had been kidnapped but released when his captors were persuaded to believe that he was not a footballer.
