Biography: Born on 18th September 1958 in Liverpool. Had to earn his spurs at Newport County and Oxford United before a £750,000 move took him back to his hometown, Liverpool, in 1987. A prolific scorer for all of his clubs, Aldridge amassed a tally of over 300 goals in his 20+ year career and still regularly finds the back of the net while playing for Liverpool Masters side. The former Republic of Ireland international managed Tranmere from 1996 until 2001 but is now a partner in Aldo's on Victoria Street in Liverpool and pundit on local sports programmes.
