James 'Jimmy' Allen

James 'Jimmy' Allen

Born: 1913

Birthplace: Amble, Northumberland

Position: Right-half

Biography: Allen signed for Huddersfield Town from Stakeford Albion in March 1934 but his debut wasn't a successful one as he struggled to cope with J.G Bell, the Preston North End inside-left and it turned out to be Allen's only game for the club. After his retirement from football in 1938, he went to work on the railways as a labourer for Perway Maintenance. He died in 1979.
