Biography: A right back who played his entire club career for Burnley. He was a member of their 1960 First Division title winning side. He made a total of 521 appearances for them between 1956-72. He won one full cap for England in 1961 and would have won many more if not for Jimmy Armfield and George Cohen. When his playing career finished he returned to his birthplace Amble and set up a milk business as well as working as a locksmith. He also helped his wife run JK Crafts in Amble. In retirement he lives in Warkworth.
