Biography: Born in Salamanca, Spain, on 17th January 1983. Spanish international who played in their World Cup winning side of 2010. He became a regular for Liverpool following his move from Deportivo La Coruna and stayed for three seasons. Real Madrid lured him back home in 2009 and paid the Reds £5,000,000 for his signature. Still with Los Blancos in 2012.
