Biography: Billy Austin an old fashioned right winger born 29 April 1900 in Nottingham, He Austin joined Manchester City from Norwich City in May 1924 for £2,000. He scored 43 goals in 160 league appearances. He made a career total of 358 league appearances scoring 86 goals. He also won one England cap in a goaless draw with Northern Ireland in a British Championship match at Windsor Park, Belfast in 1925. He finished his playing days in Kidderminster where he later died in April 1979
