Biography: A former Liverpool schoolboy who had previously played under Paul Cook at Southport. The ‘scouse’ reunion was sealed when he signed a two year contract to play for Pompey in 2016. Carl has been plagued by injuries since his spell at Fratton Park and has struggled to regain the form that made him so popular during his stay. A brief stint in India was followed by a return to his old club Coventry City to renew his midfield partnership with Michael Doyle. Assistant manager at Telford but is also a Personal Trainer level 3, Nutritionist level 4 and director of The Carl Baker Academy.
