Biography: The 6ft 3in striker did score one goal in his 4 Pompey appearances but it was at last club Blackpool, during a second goal-laden spell, where he became a hero and member of their Hall of Fame. You can even buy Dave Bamber tee-shirts from a site called cultzeros.co.uk. Dave remained in the area to become a property developer. A Torquay United fanzine was named 'Bamber's Right Foot' following his penalty miss against the Gulls in the 1990-1 play off final at Wembley.

Bamber, Dave When playing for Swindon he always got penalties falling over. Me and a friend always sang. He was my favourite player of all time.
