Position: Defensive midfielder

Biography: With 100 international caps for Greece to his name, there is no doubt that the name Angelos Basinas is etched into their national history books. He took the corner which led to their winning the 2004 European Championship, arguably the country's greatest football achievement. Played most of his career in Greece Spain and France but did have a brief spell with Portsmouth in 2009/10. Retired the following year.
