Biography: Beaumont played for his hometown club between 1931 and 1936 but only managed 3 full first team games. He had short spells at Portsmouth and Nottingham Forest. By 1939, he was living in Sheffield and working as a furnaceman in the steel trade there. After World War Two, the former winger later worked as a government contracts officer for Ericsson. Later in life, he joined Nottinghamshire Cricket in 1981 and acted as their first team scorer between 1987 and 1993. Beaumont passed away in 2002.
