Biography: A striker born on 12 June 1967 in Moss Side, Manchester. Beckford started his career Manchester City making eleven league appearances following a loan period with Bury, he moved onto Post Vale where he enjoyed greater success he also enjoyed successful spells with Norwich and Oldham, before playing for nine different clubs in under three years at the end of his playing career His Brother Jason was also a professional footballer. After football he returned to Manchester working with youngsters for the Princes Trust and more recently in Moss Side as an attendance officer at Claremont Primary School.
