Biography: Only made 12 appearances in four seasons, despite having a CV that reads like a who's who of club football. Gianluca Vialli claimed the signing was nothing to do with him and was conducted by Colin Hutchinson. As soon as Claudio Ranieri took over, Bogarde was sent training with the youth team in a bid to get him to leave the club, but he was happy on £40,000 a week wages and openly admitted it: "This world is about money, so when you are offered those millions you take them. Few people will ever earn so much. I am one of the few fortunates who do. I may be one of the worst buys in the history of the Premiership, but I don't care." He retired after leaving Stamford Bridge. Was working in the entertainment industry but is now studying for diploma Pro Coach Football in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
