Birthplace: Derby

Position: Centre-forward

Biography: Brittan's brief Chelsea career was broken into two spells by the First World War and was ended by his decision to emigrate to the United States. Once across the water he became a legend before retiring to concentrate on his business interests. His contribution to the sport was recognised with induction into the National Hall of Fame in 1951. He died on 9th April 1964 at the age of 69.
