Biography: Briefly played for Pompey at the turn of the century and went on to become the first ever manager of Coventry City. Another useless fact - his brother worked in the Belfast dockyard and helped to build the Titanic. Was picked to appear twice for the Scottish national side but the second match, in which he had scored, was declared void after a stand collapsed, killing dozens of fans. Died himself in New Zealand in March 1944.
