Birthplace: Kennoway, Fife, Scotland

Position: Inside-forward

Biography: Wing half who played for East Fife in Scotland before Blackpool tempted him to the Lancashire coast. He joined Pompey in 1961 after a spell at Luton and was part of the team that won the Third Division championship in 1961/2. Later managed a number of clubs including Luton, Bury and most Notably, Nottingham Forest. Returned to the Blackpool area and enjoyed retirement in Lytham St Annes, until his death in March 1996.
