Biography: Former Aston Villa midfielder who played 5 times for Pompey after a spell in Greece. Ended his career back in Scotland, with Hibernian but moved back to Birmingham where he worked as a sports development officer on the local council for 26 years until taking early retirement. In 1969, James ’Jimmy’ Brown became the youngest player ever to represent Aston Villa in a first team competitive match. He was just 15 years and 349 days old and the record still stands to this day.
