Biography: An attacking midfield player he was nicknamed 'Bomber' as he used to bomb through from midfield. He played in the Football League between 1963-83. For seventeen years he played for West Bromwich Albion scoring 218 league goals in 574 appearances. He played a total of 720 games for them scoring 279 goals - all these totals are club records. He played for them in the 1968 FA Cup Final which they won. In the 1970/71 season he was the leading goalscorer in Division 1 with 28 goals. In that season he won his only full cap for England. When his playing career finished he coached briefly at Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion. Later becoming a salesman. He now works as a commentator for Beacon Radio covering games at The Hawthorns. He lives in Walsall.
