Biography: Butler retired in 2000 whilst player-manager of Halifax Town. He then moved to Australia where he managed Sorrento FC, before moving again this time to Singapore. He coached Singapore Armed Forces Football Club, then with Malaysian outfit Sabah FA and Indonesian club Persiba Balikpapan. He moved back to Malaysia in 2009 to coach Kelantan FA before joining Yangon United in Myanmar as a technical director.
