Position: Left-back

Biography: Left-back. A one club man who joined Liverpool straight from school and played for the next 12 years. Made the headlines by suffering from a broken collarbone in the third minute of the 1965 FA Cup final but played on to the end of the match. Was a member of England's 1966 World Cup winning squad but did not appear in the finals. He did win two caps before an injury ended his career in 1969 having played over 300 games in Red. In June 2009, 'The Crunch' was finally presented with a World Cup winners' medal to mark the fact that he was a member of the 22 man squad.
