Biography: A defender who could also play in midfield he was a one club man except for a short spell with Bristol Rovers at the end of his career. He played for Crystal Palace between 1973-88 making a record 660 appearances for the club - 571 league appearances also a record. He went on to play non league football for a short spell and then followed his father into the building trade setting up a construction firm ICS Builders in Croydon. In addition to this he became a match day host for Crystal Palace in 2005 and a club Ambassador in 2010.

Cannon, Jim Myself and Jim played for Bellarmine Sen Secondary in the 60s, but Jim was our Goalkeeper then. I think Palace turned him into a centre-half.
