Biography: Wing half who played over 250 games for the Hammers retired and lived in Sheffield until his death in 1994. (Played in the War Time League Cup final win at Wembley for West Ham.)

Cockroft, Joe I know Joes grandson John who is my old schoolmate. Never met his grandad Joe but Joe's son Terry used to be on Chelsea's books in the early 60's also. I don't think he broke through into the first team. John lives in Wisbech, Cambs and I think Terry lives in Hunstanton Norfolk
