Colbridge, Clive I knew Clive at RAF El Adem, Libya between 1953 and 1955. Not many of us about now. Never ever saw him upset during a game. We were fortunate enough to have a couple of refs on camp who cleaned up the rough football that was being played. Did contact him a few years ago but have lost contact.

Colbridge, Clive Was at The Gay Meadow (Shrewsbury ground at the time) on Boxing Day 1962. Clive dribbled into the Shrews box in the inside left channel and was brought down in the box. Penalty said the ref. An old guy Shrewsbury fan seated next to me said "he’s always diving". I tapped him on the arm and said "he’s not because I watch all Wrexham home games". My dad hit me for daring to speak back to the old man - I cried (I was only 13). Ken Barnes scored from the spot - 2 - 0 to Wrexham BUT , Shrewsbury then scored four and we lost 4 - 2. One was an Arthur Rowley rocket.
