Biography: Scouser Connolly, nick-named 'Shelley', played four matches for Pompey whilst on loan from Leeds United in 2010. The defender made just short of 400 games for a total of ten league clubs but it was the fans of his first, Plymouth Argyle, who seemed to hold him in highest regard. They voted him their best ever right-back in a 2019 poll.
