Biography: Jimmy Corbett had a brief stay at Fratton Park in 2000. He was loaned out by his parent club Blackburn Rovers, who had paid Gillingham over £500,000 for his services. However, he was not to make even one appearance for Pompey or Blackburn and was forced to retire from the game due to a persistent knee injury. His Twitter biography reads 'Retired footballer due to having Chocolate ankles! Now Athlete Mentor with the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust'.
