Biography: Became the first professional footballer to become Secretary of the Football Association when he succeeded Denis Fellows in 1973, a position that he held until his retirement in 1989. Outside football, he owned a successful concrete business that made him his fortune. Passed away at his Cheltenham home surrounded by his family on Christmas day in 1992, after a long battle against cancer. (Played eight games for The Addicks)
