Biography: Played most of his League soccer for Aldershot but moved into coaching. At his last club,York City, he struck up a partnership with Dennis Smith, which continued at Sunderland and Oxford. Has since worked with Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Northampton Town. (Managed Sunderland to the 1992 Cup Final).
