Graeme Souness took him to Blackburn in the summer of 2000 for £1.5 million. Had a frustrating time at Pompey in 2004/5 and was only selected a handful of times by Harry Redknapp before returning to Lancashire to play for Preston. Ened his playing days in Australia but then packed his bags and moved to Connecticut in the United States, where he set up and became technical director of NCE Soccer (National Center of Excellence).
