John Cushley

Birthplace: Hamilton, Scotland

Position: Centre-half

Biography: A centre-half he played in the Football League for West Ham United between 1967-70. After his playing career finished in 1976 he became a teacher. He also worked for Celtic as an Education Officer. He retired in 2003 as deputy head teacher at St Ambrose,Coatbridge. In 2007 he was diagnosed with motor neurone disease and died in March 2008 aged 65.
