Birthplace: Newry, Northern Ireland

Position: Inside-forward

Biography: Cost the Blues £10,000 and it looked to be a bargain when he was joint top scorer with Roy Bentley in his first season. However, he was swapped with Ron Greenwood just a few months into his second campaign. Went onto become a liaison officer with Charlton Athletic before working as a machine operator for a glass company in Sunbury, Surrey, where he was based until his death in February 1985 aged 63.

D'Arcy, Jimmy In the early 1950s in London I remember having our meter read buy a then Chelsea player. I have never been sure if it was Jimmy as he had an Irish name.
Would he have been employed in that capacity as football was only part-time then. I DO enjoy the website from Australia
