Biography: A local lad who came up through the ranks at Old Trafford. Only played two games for the club, his only league appearance coming against Ipswich Town in December 1985. Only a few months later he was sold to Sheffield United in a £20,000 deal. After spells at Chesterfield, Rotherham and Macclesfield, he worked for United as head coach to age groups Under-13s and Under-16s. Dempsey left Old Trafford in 2009 to coach Tromso in Norway. Is also involved in youth projects in North Norway.
