Biography: Senegalese midfielder. Gerard Houllier paid Sedan Ardennes £5 million to bring him England to play for Liverpool in 2002 but his number 15 shirt was given to new arrival Peter Crouch, who ironically later became a team-mate at his next club Stoke City. Only played 11 games for Pompey during a season long loan spell in 2005-6 due to injuries and was not retained thereafter. Diao retired in 2012 founded Sport4Charity and has been CEO of Sport Galaxy Ltd since 2010.
