Doherty, John Was saddened to hear that John recently passed away.I met John when we were classmates at Wimbledon Technical Instituion about 1958/59 when we were both studying for a O N C in Mechanical Engineering, did you know that at time he was planning a career in engineering at that time and when he finished his Football career so I was surprised to hear that he made a career in Insurance instead REGARDS E A Lawman Vancouver

Doherty, John Knew John as kids. He lived in Ravensfield Gardens, Stoneleigh. He joined in kick abouts in Shadbolt Park on Sunday mornings. Very talented and no surprise he turned professional. We were not great mates and I lost touch, although I followed his career and watched him play for Fulham a couple of times. I emigrated to Australia in 1970 and only recently heard of his death. He was a good bloke and a great talent.

Doherty, John Just to say, you will have to edit this. He is not an insurance consultant, he's an accountant! Though, he has obviously retired now, as he is nearly eighty!! I know everything you can EVER ask about John Doherty, as he is my own grandfather, my mother's father! Ask me anything.
