Biography: Returned to the Pilot Field (Hastings United) hotseat in February 2009, having previously managed the Club between January and May 2008, during which time he led a successful battle against relegation, only to step down a few days after the end of the season. Began his first stint a couple of months after parting company with Tonbridge Angels, where he had been player-manager for almost four seasons. Started his playing career as a central defender or midfielder in the Football League with Millwall, before enjoying spells with Barnet, Northampton Town and Notts County, and in the Conference with Gravesend & Northfleet and Welling United. Also played for Chesham United and Fisher Athletic, and signed for Tonbridge at the start of the 2003/04 season, initially only as a player, before taking over at the helm within a matter of months. Led the Angels to promotion as winners of the Ryman League Division One South play-off final at the end of the 2005/06 campaign.
