Position: winger

Biography: A bomber pilot during the Second World War, he was also on the MMC ground staff for several summers. As a cricketer, he played once for Middlesex and acted as 12th man for England in a test match. His football career spanned eight years but he wasn't able to establish himself in the Chelsea team because of expensive signings like Bobby Campbell, Johnny Paton and John McInnes, and was sold to Norwich for £2,000. Was sadly killed after a car crash in Wembley, north London in November 1954 aged only 31.
