Biography: 'Johnny Lager' retired from the game in 2004 after one season with Accrington Stanley. In July 2006, John joined the coaching staff of Southport but left in October of that year. Later coached at Port Vale and then four years at Bolton's Academy. He lives in Warrington, does media work and is a regular for the Liverpool Masters team.

Durnin, John While playing for Oxford United John came to live in Witney where unfortunately the local pillocks thought it was fun to goad him. However after one altercation he was interviewed by the local press and told them that if he knew he was coming to such a rough place as Witney he wouldn't have come. Honestly? After Liverpool? I don't think so
