Faulkner, John John is in care home and as pointed out elsewhere he has Alzheimer's. He is physically strong, looks very fit, stands tall and still looks very much like the photo on this page.
Faulkner, John I am sorry to say John passed away this morning after suddenly be taken to hospital yesterday.
He did not fail to make the grade but after having his knee cap smashed in tackle he couldn't stay at Leeds.
The reason Revie signed him was that he marked both Jones and Clarke out of the Sutton game both were England 1st time picks.
He will be missed by family and friends.
Faulkner, John I was with cousin John when Don Revie signed him for Leeds We then went to Elland Road and he showed me around the ground and then went to the pub to meet Johnny Giles and Jack Charlton. Great memories and I will miss you mate x
Faulkner, John Sad news. My thoughts are with the family. He was a good golfer and I enjoyed some great rounds with him and Jimmy Husband in the states and the UK. He always told me to applaud good defending as well as attacking play. Great sense of humour and was a follower of ELO. Fondly remembered.
Faulkner, John Sorry to have just heard of the parting of John Faulkner and I was unaware that he was suffering with Alzheimer's. John was very much a part of my development through the youth team to first team Of which I am forever grateful. I have many good memories of John both as a coach and as a person and feel it is right for me to say thanks John RIP
Faulkner, John Sorry to here that John is suffering from Alzheimer's l have many fond memories of John playing at school before the he turned professional
Dickie Cousins
Faulkner, John Two points regarding John
1 his time at Leeds was marred as he broke his leg very shortly after getting into the first team and not because he ' didn't make the grade'
2 John is not very well these days suffering from Altzheimers.
