Biography: Ferguson is considered to be one of the Blues all-time greats. He started his career at the club as a centre-forward before moving back to wing half, where he became first choice for almost a decade. A terrier-like player, he suffered a relegation and won a promotion. Returned to Scotland where he lived in Dumfries running a tobacconists until his death in August 1960 aged 59.
