Biography: Pompey was the Scottish full back's only League club although he did manage to play for many of the London based teams while he was stationed at Woolwich during the war. Played over 200 games and enjoyed a spell as captain before he retired in 1954. He later became Gloucester City manager and then spent ten years in charge of Chelmsford City where he won the Southern league Cup four times. Worked in Hoffman's Ball Bearing factory in Essex before retiring. He then took up Bowls becoming a Club and County level player.
