Birthplace: Swinton, Lanarkshire, Scotland

Position: Full-back

Biography: Full back with a strong tackle and inclination to roam forward to show off his powerful shot, became Tommy Docherty's second purchase when he was bought for £100,000 from Patrick Thistle, where he had previously won a Scottish League cup medal. He was released by Arsenal earlier in his career but became a firm favourite with the crowd during the Second Division Championship winning season. He was also part of the 1976 FA Cup Final losing side, lost his place to Jimmy Nicholl and returned to Scotland with Rangers before finishing up with Motherwell and Hamilton. Is now the manager of the Auld Hoose bar in Hamilton, Scotland.
