Biography: A Scottish International goalkeeper (4 caps) signed by Ted Bates for £10 000 he was 1st choice until Eric Martin succeded him, most memorable moment was conceding a goal to future Saints keeper Peter Shilton in a match they lost 5-1. He retired later that season. He worked for Watneys for 28 years whilst also scouting for Southampton. He was picked by Terry Paine in his best ever Saints XI in 2008.
