Biography: Fatty' Foulke is one of the football's legendary figures thanks to his 25 stone frame. He arrived at the club in their first ever league season for £50. It is said that he put on two stones during his one season at the club. Popular with fans, he is probably Chelsea's first ever superstar. Despite his bulk, he also managed to play county cricket for Derbyshire. After retiring he had a number of business interests in Sheffield including a shop and a pub prior to his death in May 1916. He is buried in Burngreave Cemetery.
