Position: Inside-forward

Biography: Joined Manchester United as an apprentice winger in April 1960 after turning down Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham. An England schoolboy international, he was tipped for a big figure. He progressed through the youth team captained by Nobby Stiles. Sir Matt Busby awarded him a two year contract and he was playing for the reserves at 17, he soon became friends with George Best but preferred gambling to football, and despite being a reserve for the first team twice, he was allowed to leave on a free transfer. Has become one of the most colourful managers in the modern game, helped Barnet into the Football League, has managed Southend, Birmingham and Peterborough U where he is now director of football.
