Biography: Gartland began his career at hometown club, Huddersfield Town. However, he only played 8 league games between 1976 and 1979 and he ended up at Guiseley. He remained here until 1987 when he transferred to Emley, he played at Wembley in the 1988 FA Vase Final. He has worked for Horton Housing Association since 1988 and is currently Services Director and is now living in Bradford.
