Gates, Bill I played cricket for Dean and Chapter in 1960-63 with Bill Gates. I was 20 and he was17. We were both the youngest players at that time. I was a pace bowler, he was a solid batsman and good fielder. Last time I saw him he was fit and healthy. I am sad to hear of his illness. Bill Garbutt

Gates, Bill Used to live over the road from Bill and Judith when they lived in Swinton Road Hartburn. When I moved to Hampshire and saw Boro playing in the south Bill would give me complimentary tickets before the game.

Gates, Bill I worked with Bill at Chipchase Manners & Co Chartered Accountants. We were both Articled clerks in training to be chartered accountants. A lovely friend who I remember babysitting for Bill and Judith when they lived at Marlborough Road in Marske.

Gates, Bill Bill Gates was a former neighbour of ours, living in Studley Road ,Linthorpe, Middlesbrough.I don't have any specific recollections as I was very young at the time but my parents spoke kindly about him. It's worth noting that these were smart but small terraced houses which reflect the income of footballers at the time.
