Biography: A player loved by the fans at all of his clubs. He was playing for Bradford on the day of their disasterous fire. He went into the stand and rescued his girlfriend out of the blaze, ex WBA player Andy McCall was watching his son play that day for Bradford, he was badly burned. Andy McCall went on to play for Scotland, and later managed Bradford. Andy McCall WBA around 1950/52 Saw him play v Arsenal when Dennis and Leslie Compton played for them.
