Goodwill, Tommy Tommy was a local lad who started at Seaton Deleval but then soon got selected for Newcastle United first team. He joined the army to fight in WW1 and was killed on the opening day of the battle of the Somme aged 20 along with another Newcastle player Dan Dunglinson, who was 22.
