Biography: Len Goulden was signed for £5,000 to partner Tommy Lawton just before the end of the Second World War. His career would have reached even greater heights had it not have been for Hitler's march into Poland. He was considered to be one of the greatest inside forwards of his day and was a bargain signing, having helped The Blues win the Football League Southern Cup as a guest. Gave superb service in five years, before retiring. He went on to manage Watford twice, coached in Libya, ran a sub post office, worked on a US Air Force base in Northampton before coaching Oxford United. He died in Cornwall in February 1995 aged 82.
